Two types of training programs are designed to reduce barriers between Native communities and grantmaking foundations.

In Seattle we host the First Nations Development Institute's LEAD program, a year-long mentorship for emerging nonprofit leaders.

We also conduct one- to three-day "place-based" workshops in communities where Native people live and work. Participants in the Journey to Successful Fundraising seminar have developed the skills and confidence to submit competitive grant requests ranging from $500 to $500,000.
